I feel for you and understand that alternate universe. Hospitals are so draining. Worrying about a parent is so painful. I'm sorry you're going through this and will be here for your posts whenever they come to you.
I missed your newsletters and wondered if something was up. I’m sorry to hear about your dad. Here’s to allowing the time to be what it is, even when it’s painful and difficult.
Wishing you all the best during a difficult time. One year ago I was right where you are: a medical crisis with my mom, snowball effect, lots of worry and hard work, and when I picked my head up it was the end of March. Take care of yourself as best you can. We'll all be right here when you get back. 💙
Best of luck Lisa and wll done giving yourself the space and grace not to push through to meet some imaginary goal -- I must publish! I must be everything to everyone all the time! I know it well. My mom broke her hip this fall and I've been struggling to help long-distance. Be well!
So sorry to read your news...I've missed your writing and your connection. Your Dad is fortunate to have you. I hope his recuperation is successful and swift. Mind yourself. Love Mary
Sorry I missed this earlier, Lisa. I hope that things are moving in the right direction for all of you, even if they move slowly. Hope your dad is doing better. I will look forward to reading whatever comes out of you when you are ready again.
Prayers for you and your father for peace and healing.

I hope you find relief through this. I, too, have no siblings, so managing ailing and aging parents is beyond challenging. You will get through this.

SO HARD. God bless you and your kind, brilliant daddy. That simple description brought a tear to my eye.

I certainly can align with you on these issues. Hoping for comfortable enough recovery and healing and back to your writing.
