Oh! I'm also just noticing that if you go to someone's page (click on their name) there's a 'message' button at the top. I'll never figure out all the technology.🙃
There's a little chat bubble next to your notifications bell - click it and then click on 'direct'. There, you can find people and message them. I'll message you, you'll get a notification and can respond to me - maybe that's easier?
I really enjoyed this! You’ve inspired me to write more letters. Also, no one is taking away my f#%king glass of Champagne thank you very much. 🥂 I’m all for moderation but in these times, we need small joys and treats.
Thank you for sharing this, I’ve been trying to think of ways I can stay connected to my friends as I try to really truly leave social media & the toxicity of the internet. Maybe some penpal exchanges could be one of the answers! We all need these connections and reassurances right now. It’s a great idea
Oh. Love the letter writing. And I am encouraged how you said to write with postcards. And stickers. And tape. Etc. fabulous. I’m inspired to start. Thank you so much for this post.
Thank you for this I want to say, love letter to letter writing. The old-fashioned way of communicating that still holds such soul for writer and reader. The writer is authentically themselves and the reader the recipient of that originality. I enjoyed this read very much!
Lisa, my work has been to give women their voices via writing legacy letters and I’m just completing my 4th book on this topic, writing Legacy Letters in the Age of Covid. May I quote from your post? If you are interested let’s talk; my email is rachaelfreed@icloud.com Thanks for your writing and your consideration. 🙏🏽
How wonderful! I'd die for such a letter. It's a dream.
DM me if you'd like to correspond - it's great fun!

This is amazing! I want a PenPal and I would have so much fun with it! Hit me up over DM!
I'd love a penpal and would probably be Virgoan in my attention to it!
I'm not sure what that means, but am now very curious! Drop your address in my DM and I'll send you something. 📬
How did I miss this? How do I "DM" you?

Oh yes. Moderation is king, but sometimes a glass of bubbles is the only proper response to widespread fuckery!
